Well, it wasn't the exciting nailbiter game we were hoping for. The Eagles defense threw Mahomes around like a rag doll
and turned it into a laffer. And the halftime show was a bit underwhelming .... the best part was maybe Serena Williams doing
the Crip Walk .... or maybe Samuel L. Jackson portraying Uncle Sam. But at least we had a bunch of funny commercials and
thank goodness we didn't have to suffer through endless shots of Taylor Swift giggling like a school girl.
And in the Playoff Pool, after a long year of pitiful results, Commish Kevver finally broke through to claim the biggest prize of all.
When asked how he ended up picking the Eagles to win the Super Bowl, he explained it like this:

"It goes way back to October when we had one of our margarita tailgate parties after a golf outing. I
was asked by fellow football pooler KRL (aka, my brother) which teams did I think would make it to the Super Bowl. Without
hesitating I said the Eagles and Chiefs .... which was met by a dumbfounded stare (and a slight dribble of margarita
from the corner of his mouth), because neither team was highly regarded at the time.
I explained that the Eagles had the best offensive line, a great defense, two of the best receivers, and a guy named
Saquon Barkley .... and the Chiefs had two things .... Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. Anyway, I remained
steadfast and unwavering in these beliefs from October until the final Super Bowl commercial. And now I'm sipping
on a cognac, smoking a cigar and basking in the glory of my finest football pool moment ever. Feels good, baby." |

While disappointed that her dream of a KC Three-Peat .... and a Taylor-Travis engagement .... didn't come true, Valerie A
was happy to cruise home with the runner-up prize. The proceeds will be used to add her husband, Rick K, to the pool next
season .... welcome, Rick! And Barry C turned his season into a profitable one by hitting it big
on the Super Bowl score.
